Create Sequential Numbers in #Excel Easily

There are multiple ways to create a list of sequential numbers in Excel. The most common one should be simply type 1 in a cell, followed by drag and drop (fill-series). Another common approach would be using a simple formula of earlier cell + 1. Although these are super easy, they have their limitations – when inserting / deleting rows in-between, the sequential numbers break… 😦

If you are using Excel 365 (or Excel 2021 or above), you should use the SEQUENCE function. This method is the best way to do so. Not only is it super easy to use, but also the sequential numbers created is (almost) unbreakable.
